The Combined Approach to atopic eczema is a treatment programme
Programme: [US program] A planned sequence of events. A set of structured activities.
- A treatment?
Sometimes treatments in medicine are single events. An injection, for example, or a surgical operation. Treatment is often recommended at a visit to see a doctor. A prescription may be given.
- A course?
A course of treatment involves a treatment being followed over a period of time: such as a course of antibiotics. Otherwise some medical treatments are relatively continuous: treatment for high blood pressure, for example.
- A programme!
The Combined Approach to atopic eczema involves three levels of planned treatment in a particular sequence, followed for a certain number of weeks.
